"Dr. Anoop Krishna Gupta obtained his MBBS degree from BPKIHS, Dharan, and completed MD Psychiatry from PGIMER, Chandigarh in June 2016. Since then, he has been working as faculty at the Department of Psychiatry, National Medical College, Birgunj. He is an independent researcher in the field of clinical and community psychiatry. His special interests lie in severe mental illnesses. He is also part of the editorial board of the Journal of Psychiatrists’ Association of Nepal and the MedPhoenix Journal of National Medical College. Having published over 30 research papers in national and international journals, he is still interested in conducting outreach clinics in rural southern Nepal. He has won early career fellowship awards from NIMHANS, Bangalore, and RANZCP, Sydney in 2017 and 2019. He has also received a travel grant from UGC, Nepal for presenting at SIRS, Florence 2018, and research aid from the Psychiatrist Association of Nepal for Pathways to Care study."
