Dr. Prasanna Karki

"Dr. Prasanna Karki is a board-certified Neurosurgeon and Neurointerventionist of Nepal. She has been practicing as Neurosurgeon for the last 7 years. She completed her M.B.B.S from Nepal Medical College in 2009, and pursued her 5 years of Neurosurgery training in Japan (Kagoshima University) from 2010 to 2015. Dr. Prasanna completed her one-year fellowship in neurointerventional surgery at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in 2022. She worked as a Neurosurgeon at Annapurna Neuro Hospital in 2015 and as a Neurosurgeon/ lecturer in Nepalgunj Medical College from 2016- 2018. She is currently working as a Neurointerventional Neurosurgeon at Nepal Mediciti Hospital. Dr. Prasanna's neurosurgical expertise includes open and noninvasive treatment of cerebrovascular disorders (aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, cavernous malformations, and stroke) and skull base tumors. She is a member of the Nepal Society of Neurosurgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Japan Neurosurgical society, The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies, Sectional membership of Functional Neurosurgery, and the World Federation Of Neurosurgery. Dr. Prasanna has more than 27 publications with multiple honors/ awards and has presented her work on an international platform.
