International day of women and girls in science: 2022

I science
She science
We science

That is, I am science, she is science and we are science. Making science and technology women-friendly, this day is very important for equal representation and participation of men and women.

Both science and gender equality are necessary to institutionalize development. Post-COVID, the increasing use of information technology and inventions has led to special advocacy for gender equality in the use of science. Gender equality is both a need and a challenge today, with various days and campaigns to promote women's equal access to technology and access to information, including the International Day of Women's Access to Science on February 11 each year.

Various documentaries and films have been made on this subject all over the world. Welcome to February 11, a special day to appreciate the contribution of women in science and technology and innovation in the modern world.

For the past 15 years, the world community has been working to encourage women's participation in science. However, women or girls seem to be unable to fully participate in science.

At present, less than 30 percent of the world's scientific researchers are women. This figure is much lower than that of men.

We talk a lot about women's empowerment, women's participation. There are many initiatives for women's equality around the world. However, in our age where the importance of science is increasing day by day, if our women are lagging in science, is women's empowerment possible in the future? Many of us may not have thought about it.

Only equal access and encouraging the presence of women in science can reduce the disparity between men and women. We are now in the month of Valentine, at this time male friends are giving respect and love to their dear female friends in many ways.

This day in the month has given male friends a chance to think about their dear female friend's involvement and engagement with science and how to improve it. The importance of today is important for women and men around the world to understand gender equality in science.

Hamro Patro - Connecting Nepali Communities
Hamro Patro is one of the first Nepali app to include Nepali Patro, launched in 2010. We started with a Nepali Calendar mobile app to help Nepalese living abroad stay in touch with Nepalese festivals and important dates in Nepali calendar year. Later on, to cater to the people who couldn’t type in Nepali using fonts like Preeti, Ganesh and even Nepali Unicode, we built nepali mobile keyboard called Hamro Nepali keyboard.
