Film Journalism Day, Nepal

Film Journalists Association of Nepal is celebrating its 21st anniversary this year. The association has been celebrating the 7th of Jeshta every year as Film Journalism Day. Thus, the Film Journalists Association is organizing gatherings in different parts of Nepal to honor and congratulate the journalists who have contributed to film journalism.

The day will be celebrated through a digital gathering between this year's Lockdown and Corona Tragedy. An official statement from the association said that this year's Film Journalism Day will be held through digital gatherings. Everyone has an interest and curiosity about the raucous news of the world of reel and screens. Film journalists have a big role to play in collecting and publishing news and updates of movie screens.

The real-life events of the actors, much other news, and updates from the role of the film are the product of the relentless work and fighting spirit of these journalists. This year, Nepali Rangmanch has lost two celebrities. The gone year brings the memories of the chairperson of the Nepal Film Development Board (NFDB), Keshab Bhattarai, and cine artist Deepak Chhetri who untimely passed away.

Expressing grief over Deepak's death, Keshav died the day after Deepak's death. Our condolences to both the artists. Were it not for the remarkable contribution of these journalists in the Nepali movies, we would not have grown up looking at the news of heroines looking at the colorful pages rather than the headlines of the newspapers and magazines. The continuous participation of these journalists are needed to keep the theater afloat and the film flourishing, wishing you a special day today.

Hamro Patro - Connecting Nepali Communities
Hamro Patro is one of the first Nepali app to include Nepali Patro, launched in 2010. We started with a Nepali Calendar mobile app to help Nepalese living abroad stay in touch with Nepalese festivals and important dates in Nepali calendar year. Later on, to cater to the people who couldn’t type in Nepali using fonts like Preeti, Ganesh and even Nepali Unicode, we built nepali mobile keyboard called Hamro Nepali keyboard.
